For rentals in the United States, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Croix and Canada, when the renter chooses to receive frequent flyer points, Avis will assess a frequent flyer surcharge equivalent to USD $1.00 per day. The amount assessed is collected by Avis to offset a portion of Avis' annual cost of participation in frequent flyer programs.
Renter must meet Avis age, driver and credit requirements. Minimum rental age may vary by location. An additional daily surcharge may apply for renters under 25 years old.

Earn points on car rentals

Atmos™ Rewards members can earn points on qualifying Avis and Budget vehicle rentals as follows:

1,250 points per rental for Atmos™ Rewards members with Platinum or Titanium status
1,000 points per rental for Atmos™ Rewards members with Silver or Gold status
750 points per rental for Atmos™ Rewards members who use their Atmos™ Rewards Visa® credit cardholders to pay for the rental transaction
500 points per rental for all other Atmos™ Rewards members

Methods of eligibility for earning points cannot be combined. In the case of multiple methods of eligibility, the one method that results in the most points earned will apply.

To earn points, members must include their Atmos™ Rewards number in their vehicle rental reservation. No points will be awarded in connection with transactions made using points as a form of payment, including for the money portion of a points and money booking.

Using points to book a car rental

For certain bookings, you may be presented with the option to pay using Atmos™ Rewards points. Eligibility to pay using Atmos™ Rewards points is at the discretion of Alaska Airlines and may change at any time without notice.
In Alaska’s discretion, bookings may be made using Atmos™ Rewards points or a combination of points and money. Any money portion must be paid using a form of payment indicated on the website. The number of points, or points and money, necessary for a transaction will be set by Alaska Airlines, are subject to change and may vary by member. Certain Atmos™ Rewards members may receive preferential pricing. Pricing is subject to change without notice. You must have sufficient points in your Atmos™ Rewards account to complete the transaction. You may not combine points from two or more accounts on a single transaction. Your points will be deducted at the time of purchase. Pricing is not guaranteed until the transaction is completed.
In the event that Atmos™ Rewards points have not been properly debited from your account at the time of redemption, such points may be debited by Alaska Airlines at any time. Vehicle bookings made using points cancelled prior to car pick-up date to obtain any refund. Refunds, when available, will be made in the original form of payment less any fees and charges, where applicable. No points will be awarded in connection with transactions made using Atmos™ Rewards points as a form of payment, including the money portion of a points and money booking.
Any third-party fees or charges, including those incurred while traveling, are in addition to the fees and charges for your original booking and must be paid by you directly using the major credit card or debit card you indicated on the website, not Atmos™ Rewards points.
Points or other credits acquired from any loyalty program other than the Atmos™ Rewards may not be used in connection with this redemption opportunity. Credit earned in any loyalty, recognition, or rewards program other than Atmos™ Rewards is at the discretion of such other program.
